London. His residence is now called Down House. On
a recent trip through his house, I was lucky enough to be able to take some pictures
of the interior. I must admit, it was a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. So
I present to you, two of the more unique pictures set up as images that can be
used as wallpaper on your computer. I intend to also do a 'pictorial' survey of
the entire living area and the land surrounding Down House very soon, so
stay tuned! At the bottom of this page I have set up a table so that you may choose
either 800 X 600 or 1024 x 768 for either image. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
This is the first picture. It is a picture of the bottles that are on Charles Darwin's
desk in his study. I had to step over the barrier to get this one, but it was worth it!
This is downloadable as 'gif' or a zipped 'bmp'.
This is the second picture. It is a series of books that are to the side of Charles Darwin's
desk, also in his study. Naturally, they are original copies of "Natural Selection".
This is also downloadable as 'gif' or a zipped 'bmp'.
