Letter number 37 written by Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin autograph letter signed, dated 4 November 1851. Darwin writes to his financial advisor concerning a ''parchment'', possibly the redrafting of his will following the death of his daughter Annie earlier that year. From Darwin's home in Down Farnborough, his letter to Thomas Salt reads, ''My dear Sir / I returned you the enclosed Parchment, which is, I hope, signed & witnessed properly. / My dear Sir / Yours very faithfully / C.R. Darwin''. Single page measures 4.5'' x 7.25''. Vertical fold and small hole at center, overall very good condition.
